The concept of the interactive double chamber (bandpass) makes it possible to considerably reduce the load volumes of the loudspeakers, hence the impressive compactness of the loudspeakers concerned. K-Horn technology consists of adding a horn and a bandpass load. This exclusive technology provides an efficiency gain of between 4 and 6 dB SPL compared with a simple bass-reflex and direct radiation load.
The UM121 subwoofer features a 21-inch driver mounted in a hybrid load. The rear section is a bass-reflex configuration with a profiled port, optimising roundness in the lower end of the spectrum and providing an impressive physiological effect.
The front horn fader, meanwhile, offers a gain in efficiency at the higher frequencies of the bandwidth, for greater dynamics and impact.
The use of a 21-inch driver, combined with the large output surface of the horn, delivers a high, even sound level.
The UM121 has been designed for floorstanding or suspended use. Specific accessories allow it to be used below or alongside UM210 loudspeakers.
