Philippe Frarier, co-founder of APG
"The story of APG began in 1975 with an unlikely meeting with Alain Pouillon Guibert during our military service. Despite our different backgrounds in the world of sound, we were called to the Dakar theatre to design 20 loudspeakers. This first experience marked the start of a passionate adventure: first with the manufacture of hi-fi loudspeakers for our friends, then with sound systems for discotheques.
APG Engineering was officially founded in 1978, focusing on the design of loudspeakers for discotheques, mobile discos and sound systems. In 1982, the company created emblematic loudspeakers such as the Mobile 2, which became a benchmark in France. The brand also became an official supplier to major institutions such as Radio France and Canal+. The quality of our products quickly established APG as one of France's most promising manufacturers. In Paris, from 1978 to 1986, we developed the brand and worked with Audax, before APG became part of Harman France.
Over the years, APG's reputation has grown, notably through the integration of SCV Audio.
In 2004, I bought APG to give it back its independence and a new dynamic, accompanied by two employees. In 2016, Régis Cazin took over the management of the company and continues to carry on the legacy of APG, whose reputation was built on innovation and acoustic excellence. Even today, I still enjoy being an integral part of the brand's history and development."

Our approach is to develop lasting and profitable relationships with all the professional players in our market, without ever forgetting the human and artistic realities to which we are so attached...
APG has been making loudspeakers for shows and events since 1978. After more than 47 years in business, the APG brand is more than ever recognised for its acoustic expertise and the excellence of its products, which are designed and manufactured in France.
The naturalness of APG sound and the non-aggressiveness of the systems mean that APG loudspeakers are present in many markets such as clubs, theatres, concerts and events. APG is also present in the auditorium and large conference room sector.
APG products have won numerous awards from the world of professional audio, and the brand has been recognised in 2019 as the best small company in the field of sound reinforcement.
The brand strives to provide venues, service providers and technicians with powerful systems that faithfully reproduce the artist's work. A major player in the use of coaxial technology, which consists of positioning the tweeter in the centre of the woofer, APG is constantly innovating around this principle. With SIGMA, APG applies coaxial technology to long-throw systems. NDB (No Diffraction Baffle) provides faithful sound reproduction across the opening of the loudspeaker thanks to a curved front panel.
