The Line Array UM210 loudspeaker incorporates 3 acoustic channels and operates in bi-amplification. The LO section includes two 10" drivers, while the HI section includes a 6.5″ driver and a 1″ compression driver.
This line-array loudspeaker has features adapted to the architecture of concert halls or outdoor stage configurations. On the UM210, low frequencies are reproduced by 2 x 10″ drivers positioned behind a radiation-optimising piece with a triple function: it creates a load on the woofers, increasing their efficiency, and optimises the low-frequency coupling between the various drivers that make up the loudspeaker. It also acts as a horn expander for mid and high frequencies. Its shape, calculated by BEM, ensures minimal diffraction at these frequencies.
The midrange and high-frequency sections are handled by a coaxial assembly consisting of two separate drivers. A 6.5″ midrange driver at the bottom of which is installed a 1″ compression chamber motor. The electro-acoustic assembly is loaded by an innovative patent-pending phase alignment device, SIGMA, which optimises the radiation pattern and coupling between adjacent loudspeakers.
